Men's Coffee Morning

This is a meeting for men to gather socially and to exchange experiences and interests, through talks, visual presentations and visits. All men are welcome whether or not they attend BRBC.

We meet monthly on the third Thursday, from September to June. Most months we meet at 10:30am for coffee and biscuits, then at 11:00am we gather more formally for a talk or presentation. Meetings end at 12 noon. In the summer we have an outing, usually including a meal, to which guests are invited. Our December meeting is traditionally a Christmas lunch.

There are no charges for our meetings (except costs of outings and lunches) but monies collected from voluntary donations each month are used to support charitable activities related to meeting topics.

Recent talks (with digital slides) have been about China, Cambodia, Gatwick Airport, Cuba, Dresden, South America and the Bluebell Railway with visits to Cowdray Park, Sussex Air Ambulance and Chichester Planetarium. We have heard about the life of a Magistrate and of a Working Peer, Waste Management in Sussex and the charity 'Letters to Prisoners'. Some of our men have talked about their 'Heirlooms and Antiques', of growing up during the war and their jobs and hobbies.

There is no formal membership and men are welcome to come when they can and new faces are always welcome.
