Family and Friends Drop In (For carers)

carers

Family and Friends Drop In welcomes everyone who supports another person where the person who receives that support could not live their everyday life safely, decently or even enjoyably without it.

When: Summer outdoor meet-ups (May - September 2021) - various times/various days/various venues in groups of no more than six.   Meeting arrangements October 2021 onwards tbc.

Group Capacity: not fixed.  (We will grow & adapt according to demand.)

It is not necessary to be a ‘registered Carer’ or to attend this church or indeed any church to come along to this group; if you are supporting someone else who depends on your help then you are warmly invited to get in touch or come along ‘just as you are’.

The team who run this group are experienced in many matters related to Caring and are able to signpost a variety of sources of further support from within the church and also the wider community too.  At 'Drop In' we do not duplicate the specialised support provided by the formal organisations already in place to do that but we offer instead a private and highly confidential space for Carers to relax and recharge their emotional and spiritual batteries together with others who really understand and where the tea and coffee pots never run dry and the plates of homemade cake don't run out either.  If you support or care for someone who relies on you to do so you are warmly invited to join with us.

Because of the Covid-19 pandemic we are currently only meeting in small groups outside but this will not always be the case.

If you would like to know more about ‘Drop In’ or if you would appreciate speaking with one of our Carers team please do not hesitate to contact us via the Church Office.
