Supporting mission at home and overseas

As Christian believers, we take seriously Jesus’ command at the end of Matthew’s gospel to make disciples of all nations. To this end we support a number of  organisations and individuals, as well as being involved practically with projects , both in the UK and around the world.

Peter and Louise Lynch are working alongside the Baptist church leaders in Bangladesh. Peter previously trained as a Pastor whilst Louise has experience as a social worker. Using these skills, their role involves training, teaching, support and pastoral care, as well as keeping strong partnership links between the Baptist churches in Bangladesh, BMS and their other partners. Peter and Louise have always felt called to mission and are excited this is now a reality. Louise and Peter are from Worle Baptist Church in Weston-Super-Mare and have two sons who are currently both studying at university.

Cally Magalhaes

Cally Magalhães lives in São Paulo where she runs The Eagle Project working with young people in youth prisons to break the vicious circle of crime and drug abuse. She and her team work with groups of adolescents who are preparing for their release through a programme of psychodrama therapy workshops based on Restorative Justice, individual counselling and family visits. Cally also works in the male and female adult prisons using psychodrama and teaching courses on Forgiveness and Reconciliation.

In our giving to mission organisations and projects we aim to give priority to:
1. Projects that combine community development with evangelism and church growth; or
2. Projects that encourage training and capacity development; or
3. Projects that assist struggling or persecuted Christians; and
4. Projects with which we can have a direct link

These are the organisations that we support currently
